Jeffrey N. Roy is a State Representative in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, representing the 10th Norfolk District. He was first elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 2012 and has been serving with great honor and privilege.

Jeffrey N. Roy is a State Representative in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, representing the 10th Norfolk District. He was first elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 2012 and has been serving with great honor and privilege. His district includes the Town of Franklin in its entirety, and Precincts 2, 3, and 4 of the Town of Medway.

Roy was appointed Chairperson of the Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy and is the House-Chair of the Manufacturing Caucus. Before his state office, he held a number of municipal positions in the town of Franklin. He served on the School Committee, and served as its Chairperson for 9 of his 10 years of service with that board. He also co-chaired Franklin’s Anti-Bullying Task Force.

Professionally, Roy has worked as an attorney in Massachusetts since 1986, and operates a law firm, Roy Law, in Franklin, Massachusetts. The firm is dedicated to vindicating the rights and expectations of consumers injured at home, work, or play. He has represented clients at all levels of the trial and appellate courts in Massachusetts.

He is a 1986 cum laude graduate of Boston College Law School and received his undergraduate degree from Bates College in 1983. He also received engineering training at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 1979 to 1981 and one year of legal training at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois.

In his personal life, Roy is the father of three children, all educated in the Franklin school system. He is an avid cyclist and a veteran rider in the annual Pan-Massachusetts Challenge event which raises money for the Jimmy Fund.
