Jeff Raatz for Senator
State Sen. Jeff Raatz has been dedicated to representing Hoosiers in Senate District 27 since his election in 2014. This district includes Henry, Union, and Wayne counties, along with portions of Franklin County.
Within the Senate, Raatz holds the position of chair for the Senate Committee on Education and Career Development. Additionally, he actively contributes as a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and the Senate School Funding Subcommittee.
Professionally, Raatz is the owner of Raatz LLC, a business-coaching organization specializing in consulting on general business practices with a focus on financial matters, IT implementation, and cash flow. He also holds an insurance license covering life, health, property, and casualty.
Outside of the Statehouse, Raatz is involved in various organizations, including the Eastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission, Indiana University East Advisory Board, Every Child Can Read Board, Executive State Board of the Crossroads of America Council BSA, Governor’s Workforce Cabinet, and the executive board of his church. His past service includes sitting on the Richmond Kiwanis Board and various other boards.
Raatz holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Baker College of Muskegon and a master’s degree in management from Indiana University.
Residing in Richmond with his wife, Lisa, Raatz is the proud parent of two grown daughters and one son-in-law.
